Des is a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, certified health and fitness specialist (HFS) and sports conditioning coach (PES) with the American College of Sports Medicine, and the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Having certified also as a group exercise instructor, this has allowed not only to build a successful personal training business but conduct popular group training programs i.e. Spin, Boot camps and Runnersway, running for the recreational athlete, triathlete and marathon runners.
Additional certifications include Stott Pilates, ISCA certified Kettle bell level one coach, Performance Movement Techniques (PMT) and the American Council of Exercise Lifestyle and Management Coach, which have allowed him to develop safe and effective core programs for post rehab and Corporate Wellness programs.
Des is avid runner and has taken part in the 2009 Miami Marathon, 2010 Run B’dos Marathon and the 2011, 2014 Chicago Marathon, 2013 Berlin marathon and 2014 Manchester UK marathon, in addition to the local road races.
Having attended and completing the BIMAP Small Business and Marketing course, he has built his own web site on the internet www.runnersway.org which allows people from all over the C’bean and internationally to take part in the many programs offered.
